Laurie
served as a Developer’s representative at the popular mountain community
of
Torreon from 1998 to 2006 and was the
number one sales associate during each of those 7 years. She has
helped over 600 people to buy or sell Torreon homes, home sites and custom
built homes.
“It
was time to take my career to the next level,” says McCain, who was also
nominated for REALTOR of the Year Award by the White Mountain Association of
REALTORS in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and was the 2004 leader in sales for all of
the White Mountains. “Even though the
developer sales are nearing an end, I wasn’t ready to give up the pleasure
I have found in helping people become a part of the Torreon lifestyle. When I began
to look around for the very best agency to provide my high level of service
to my clients, Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate was the natural choice.”
“Laurie
McCain’s reputation for customer service and attention to detail is
legendary among her clients,” says Dori Wittrig, President of Sonoran
Lifestyle, and herself a part time resident of the White Mountain area. “Every time I
meet one of her past clients, they do nothing but gush at how carefully
Laurie has worked to help them build their lifestyle in the area.
Sonoran Lifestyle’s success is built upon that same foundation, so Laurie
was a perfect fit for our group.”
An
accomplished pianist, Laurie holds a BA in Education from Wayne State
College in Nebraska, where she double majored in
History and Vocal Music. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and spent 20
years in public education in Nebraska before moving to Arizona, where she pursued a sales
career and tried to satisfy her need to be of service to people.
Laurie already has her GRI, Graduate of REALTORS Institute, is working on
her CRS, Certified Residential Specialist, and will have her ABR by February
2008.
“Helping
people to purchase a home in the White Mountains area requires quite an
education process,” says McCain, who relishes the chance to blend her two
careers to help people enjoy the lifestyle she also loves. “I enjoy
bringing the information to them, helping them to answer their own
questions, eventually leading to the possibility of owning either a vacation
home or primary residence, and in some cases just a good investment
property.
In
addition to music, McCain plays golf and enjoys hiking, especially with her
two Yellow Labs, but won’t even let these passions interfere with her
number one love: Cornhusker Football with the University of Nebraska team. She also enjoys
spending time with daughter, Jennifer, son in law, Ryan and grandkids Jack
and Kate who live in the San Francisco Bay area.
McCain
also enjoys participation in civic service to the community of Show
Low. She currently serves as a Board Member of the Navapache Regional
Medical Center Foundation, dedicated to raising funds each year to support
the hospital. She also serves on the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains, and has volunteered many hours to organizations like
Show Low Main Street, Music in the Pines, the
White Mountain Chorale, NRMC Pet Therapy Program and the Humane Society of
the White
Mountains.
